SMARTCAP consists of intelligent switching circuitry coupled with MPP type of capacitors and used for power factor improvement in industries as a fixed capacitor bank. Surgeless switching is a key feature of SMARTCAP as it is switch on using thyristors. This ensures long life of the capacitors and other switchgears/transformer since the thyristor is switched on at zero crossing of the voltage waveform and avoid inrush current during switching. It also avoids spikes on network and protects sensitive & costly electronic equipments used in the industries. |
